Weststar Takes Delivery of Its First AW189 Helicopter and Sets 50,000 FH Milestones with its AW139 Fleet

Finmeccanica – AgustaWestland is pleased to announce that Weststar Aviation Services Sdn Bhd (WASSB) of Malaysia has taken delivery of the first of two AW189 super medium helicopters. Weststar will use its AW189s to perform long range offshore transport missions in Malaysia. The official handover ceremony was held today at the Farnborough International Air Show. The customer also celebrated a new milestone with its AW139 fleet achieving 50,000 flight hours performing offshore transport missions.

AgustaWestland Completes First Customer Demonstration of AW609

AgustaWestland, a Finmeccanica company, announced today that it has completed the first customer demonstration flight of the AW609 to Chevron on February 25th  The round trip flight began in Angels Stadium in Anaheim and continued off the coast of Southern California.

Flying Second-in-Command was Chevron pilot Patrick Nevin, who currently flies AW139s in support of offshore oil and gas operations.

Travira Air To Take Delivery of Two AW139 Helicopters

AgustaWestland, a Finmeccanica company, is pleased to announce that Travira Air is to take delivery of two AW139 twin intermediate helicopters. The helicopters will soon enter service for offshore passenger  transport operations in Indonesia.
