Weststar Aviation Services Signs Contract For Eight AgustaWestland AW139 and AW189 Helicopters At LIMA 2013

AgustaWestland, a Finmeccanica company, and Weststar Aviation Services are pleased to announce that a contract for the supply of six AW139 and two AW189 helicopters, plus options, was signed today at the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace (LIMA) exhibition. The contract signing by Tan Sri Syed Azman Syed Ibrahim, Group Managing Director of Weststar and Geoff Hoon, Managing Director International Business, AgustaWestland, was witnessed by the Malaysian Minister of International Trade & Industry, YB Dato’ Sri Mustapa Mohamed.

Philippine Navy Signs Contract For Three AW109 Power Helicopters

AgustaWestland, a Finmeccanica company, is pleased to announce the signing of a contract with the Philippine Navy for three AW109 Power maritime helicopters plus two options. The helicopters will be used for a wide range of naval missions including economic zone protection, surface surveillance, SAR and maritime security. The aircraft will be delivered in 2014 and will operate from both shore and ship bases. The contract includes initial logistics support and training for aircrew and maintenance personnel.
